Nutrition Supplements for good health |
|
As a Chef Explorer I have worked hard over the years at both earning a living AND enjoying the late night parties. Haven’t we all! However, during the ‘80’s and 90’s I had the power of youth on my side! Sometime around 2004, I got sick, and diagnosed with Fibromyalgia amongst other things! As a busy Chef Lecturer and Writer, I found myself really struggling for energy.
I thought to myself, hang on Murphy, I am eating good food and keeping fairly active but I still felt Knackered!
I tried everything and spent $1000’s on all sorts of alternative medicine, until I found there was one element missing. I needed to also ‘Explore’ the world of Nutrition.
In the end I discovered the recommended healthy triangle:
1. Real Food including lots of live food like fruit and veg, little processed ‘dead’ food and lots of water. 2. Exercise of mind and body. 3. Nutritional Supplements.
I had problems with the third part of the triangle because there are so many rubbish products out there. I honestly believed we can get all we need from Food. Nope! Wrong Chef! Not in today’s world!
In fact, because we are so bombarded with extra toxins in food and the environment, there is proof to show we need far more than the old *RDI!
You know, even as a Chef, I realize that to get the best out of food, you would honestly have to grow it all organically yourself, pick the plants just as they are in season and eat as soon as possible, so to digest the best that nutrition has to offer from Nature…AND live on top of a mountain somewhere unaffected by the modern world!
Ok, Fair enough. I decided that if I had to supplement my families’ diet with supplements, then they HAVE to pass my strict analysis of quality of manufacture. Furthermore, they have to be manufactured by a company who also has Integrity. That is imperative to be associated with my vision that is Chef Explorer.
Enter ‘The Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements’. By Biochemist and Natural Healthcare Consultant Lyle MacWilliam, BSc, MSc, FP
What a book! This is as an independent and sensible guide that helps customers navigate their way through the maze of nutritional supplements products in the market place. I was especially interested in which product topped the charts in quality containing real food as their ingredients as opposed to chemicals.
You would not believe what some the most common supplements found on your local pharmacy shelves scored. I am talking n between 1-10% Nutritional values out of a score of 100%!
Voted No 1= Usana with an incredible 97.8% value in Aus & NZ. So, 3 years ago I tried them and have been feeling better ever since!
As a Chef as well as somebody who has re-found his lost energy, well, ‘the proof is in the Pudding!’ I soon joined up as an Associate and hence can order and enjoy at a cheaper price. If you are committed in getting healthy and staying there, then you can order from their website using my Associate number-3032284 or better still become one of my Personal Customers and get the best products in Australia at the same price as me, as well as access to lots of regular Nutritional info.
*RDI= Recommended Daily Allowance
